Day 89

So today was number 2 of my Easter dinners. It was fast Sunday so I didn't eat anything till 2 in the afternoon I need to work on my fasting because with years of being pregnant and breast feeding I stopped the habit and with Bethany being baptized in the next couple of months I need to set an example. Well anyways I thought I did good I worked out all the calories of the day and was proud only 48 calories over my allowed calories for the day. Well that's what I thought and then talking I remembered that I ate two homemade chocolate marshmallow eggs they are amazing but only had two so instead of being only 48 calories I ended up being over by 418 calories well going to try and work it off tomorrow but we are playing outside for most of the day so that will be a tons of calories that I am going to burn. I love Easter dinner but I do find it hard to  control yourself with so much food around. So considering it all I think I did pretty good. I was about not write down what I was going to eat but thought I will and just live with it. Well Easter is over so no more pigging out its time to get back on track I have a couple of months to get as much weight of as I can before the summer. I got a bunch of  summer cloths that are a couple of sizes smaller that I am hoping to be into by summer.

Day 88

So my sister reminded me that I forgot to post that I ate a couple of pieces of sausages from the pizza and a bite of garlic bread sorry about that I did forget that I did that. Well today has been a great day I did run on the treadmill for 20 min and walked on it for 10 min. I been drinking water still need to drink another 4 glasses tonight but that is OK it will work and I will drink it.  I love spending time with family but it is hard not to snack with candy all around. I helped make dessert for tomorrow night and I did taste some of it. My mom and I made low fat mini cheesecakes for us tomorrow instead of the full fat dessert that everyone else will be having. I am a little nervous about dinner tomorrow night I want to lose weight this week and candy and dinner is going to be a challenge for me but I am determined to do it.

Day 86 - 87

Sorry about not posting yesterday I try not to forget and I feel bad about it. We celebrated my daughters fourth birthday yesterday with my in laws so I had some chicken some coleslaw, a small amount of potato salad, some salad with poppy seed dressing a handful of munchies and one drumstick of a fried chicken. Also I had a piece of birthday cake. Not too sure about the amount of calories I had.

Today I was traveling all day I made sure to pack fruit and veggies for myself. I did have some chocolate but I was getting drowsy and needed something sweet to help me it worked I didn't have too much. This evening I had a chicken breast with salad with ranch dressing my friend gave me a good recipe and I love it. I love it more than actually store bought dressing. Thank you so much for the recipe. Everyone else tonight had pizza but I want to get rid of the weight that I put on so I am glad about my decision. We had angel food cake I had a a spoonful of blueberries on it. We went bowling I was fun and active the kids enjoyed bowling George wanted to just do it all the time he could hardly wait for his turn to come around everyone helped he roll it. I had a breakfast sandwich from Tim Horton's.

day 85 weigh in number 12

So I totally wanted to come in here and tell you that I lost some weight but no that isn't going to happen today I gained 2 pounds this last week and I am upset about it. But it is my fault I ate too much bread and went out to eat too much ahhh. Well its a new week and I am determined to loose what I put on plus more. I am determined to make it a good week tomorrow I am going to buy a bunch of fruit and veggies for my trip that way I am not eating the wrong foods. With putting on weight I  was determined to do good today I drank at least 14 glasses of water I did the bike for 40 min split it up into 2 parts 20 min each and I also did bodyrock which was 12 min today. I plan on working on this this next week. I think I have been getting sloppy and need to refocus and look at my short term goals and see how close I am to achieve them. Almost to losing 10 % almost hitting 25 pounds and almost under 200 these are goal that I am excited for and they are all achievable in the next couple of week if I focus really hard and not let Easter take over my mind. Today for dinner I made turkey burgers and wrapped them into lettuce not to sure about that I like my bun but I will get us to it. For lunch I made a sandwich with my sprouted whole wheat bread with ham cheese and mayo with a cup of strawberries and 1/2 c yogurt. For breakfast i had Two pieces of toast with peanut butter and banana on it. My phone died and I have all my calories on it so I will update it tomorrow with the actually amount of calories that I ate for the day.

Day 84

So I am little worried about what is going to happen on the scale tomorrow I have a feeling that I might of put on some weight. I think that I have pin pointed what my problem was even though I was with in my calories I had a ton of bread this past week and also ate out a few times so starch and sodium have been a big thing in my diet this week and I think those are foods that I need to avoid. So this next week I am going to try and cut them out as much as I can I am going to St. Paul this weekend for a week and I am going to pack tons of fruit and veggies. I have my mom to help me all week I even told her to make sure that I don't get out of control we are going to diet together. I was planning on doing my bodyrock but I went crazy cleaning my house I want it to be perfect I even cleaned of the desk area and I have avoided that area. Well have a great night.

Day 83

So today was a great day for exercise I did one round of bodyrock, well Bethany was at dance I took a walk, and rode the bike for 20 min. Also I drank a whopping 12 glasses of water I think I should space them out a little better running for the bathroom while out isn't fun. For breakfast I didn't really eat anything I still had 2 pieces of chocolate left so I ate them and that was an ounce and a half and guess how many calories an ounce and a half of chocolate is ? 196 yup you read it right for a small amount of chocolate i wasted 196 calories I could of had a banana, 1 c strawberries , a yogurt and 1/3 c grapes, but instead I had a lousy 1.5 ounces of chocolate make you really think about it. So I need to be careful when I go on Easter holiday but I got my mom that will help me and family that are supporting me and helping me so I think its going to be OK. This past week I noticed that I have been eating a lot of bread. I am going to try and cut back the amount that I have of it.

Day 82

So today we did Easter dinner at my in-laws because next week the kids and I are going to my parents for a week. So I ate what I liked and didn't keep track and I am also going to have my chocolate tonight that way tomorrow I can get back to tracking and making sure I exercise. I Don't have a lot to say today but I am going to continue working on my water intake and watching the bread and salt intake and exercise everyday have a good night.

Day 81

 Today I kept my self busy with making blankets for my kids. I was in that snacking mood and just could not kick it today. Still even at 10 at night I just want something sweet and proud still haven't grabbed something to eat. I didn't do a work out today just no energy today. I realized this week that I ate out a few times and looked back and realized that I am slipping up in that department so this next week I am going to not eat out I know I can do it, but so many years of eating out it is hard to break that habit. So I know I have will power look its been over a month and a half with out pop and know I am not even tempted by it. So I am going to do it. It will save a lot of money and fast food is full of processed crap and high in sodium. I really want this to work out I want to lose the weight and I am determined to do it some days I feel like throwing in the towel but I get back up and fight. Some days are better than others. Only can take it one day at a time. Also I think of the weight that I have lost 22 pounds is a lot and I don't want to gain it back just think in another 2 pounds I have lost 10%  and in 3 pounds I have lost 25 than in 9 pounds I am under 200 and I am looking at those goals right now that I am so close to reaching than thinking about my long term goal because that makes me depressed thinking about it.

Day 80

Sorry I was late at posting I was working on something and forgot about it and when I realized what time it was I went to bed. I was making a blanket and was into it. So yesterday morning I a nutrigrain bar and for lunch I went to I-hop with my daughter for a mother daughter time together I hap there Grilled chicken sandwich with a fruit bowl it was great than we went to the yogurt place at the movie mill and had some frozen yogurt we got one and split it. For dinner I had two turkey burgers with no buns with cheese, kethcup, mustard and relish I also had a few pieces of California rolls and a spring roll. I got it earlier for my husbands dinner for a treat for him. So all together I had 1305 calories so It was a pretty good day. I drank 4 glasses of water not very good and didn;t do any exercise but I am going to make sure that I do it today. I think I might go for a walk.

Day 79

So today I drank not only 8 glasses of water but I drank 13. Yes that is right I drank 13 glasses of water. So this evening I did bodyrock as well as 20 min on the bike. I feel great about doing it I am working hard on changing my life for the better. Well food and exercises. Today was an OK day I did eat a little more bread than I wanted to so that is what I am going to really try and work at I still have tons of work to do.

day 78 weigh in number 11

So this last week I lost a grand total of 1.2 yes that's it I was wanting more because of my good week but down is down and I am glad its not the other way. I am happy with anything down so that is bringing my total to a grand total of 22.2 pounds in 11 weeks so it averages out to being around 2 pounds per week. So this evening I treated myself and my kids to Burger King so yes I ate out trying not to do it but I find once in awhile isn't bad and this just means no eating out over the weekend. Not only am I trying to change the way I eat I am also applying this to the kids they need to learn to eat healthy as well. Didn't do any exercise today we walked around wal mart for an hour but other than that not so much. This next week I am focusing on my water drinking I have been slacking on it so this is what I am going to do I am going to keep a tally of the water to drink I am aiming for at least 8 tallys. That will be 8 - 8oz glasses I find when I drink more water I don't snack as much. Also going to watch the salt its not good to have too much of it, also bread/grains need to be careful with them not to go over board. So these are a few things I am going to focus on this next week as well as exercise.

day 77

So today I had dinner out so I made sure that the first part of my day I watched what I ate to make sure that I would have enough calories for dinner. Well it went well until they pulled out cake and ice cream and I had a piece. Well they had a salad and chicken and some pasta with a nice sauce on it.It was good. For breakfast I had fruit and yogurt and a banana with peanut butter. I had the peanut butter to get some protein for breakfast. For lunch I made the chicken strips again with fruit and yogurt. I do love my fruit. I also did my bodyrock today. So today is short but I had a great day and not too sure where my calories ended up. Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am nervous about what the number is going to be. I am hoping it will be good because I have been trying really hard this week.

Day 76

Today after I put the kids to bed I did my bodyrock and 20 min on the bike I am tired but glad that I did it. I am really trying to focus and work on my exercises it is something that I struggle with everyday. I feel that sometimes it is easier to just sit and watch TV, but I want to lose weight and just sitting in front of the TV is dangerous that is when i get into my snaky mood. I am trying to cut out the snacking it helps that I don't have snaky foods in my house I only have stuff for lunches and there is just enough for the week so I don't touch them. For lunch I made my own breaded chicken strips they were really good. I love finding new ways of making dinners that are yummy and low calorie.

Breakfast:

Bread Chicken strips

100 g Chicken breast ( Safeway eating right chicken breast that is cut into strips)
10g bread crumbs

1/2 tbsp olive oil

1. Take chicken breast and dip both sides in slightly whipped egg than dip both side into bread crumbs. Add oil to skillet and but coated chicken breast into pan and fry till both sides are browned and cooked all the way through.

Day 75

Today was another great day got home from dinner and I did 40 min on the bike. So last night when I went to bed I wasn't feeling sore tha during the night every muscle in my body hurt my legs are still killing me but I worked through it. I like the feeling that I finished my exercises. I am working at doing it.

So today was a better Saturday that i have had for a few weeks. Day 73

I am excited I shared a photo of my progress on Bodyrock there has been tons of likes and lots of comments telling me to keep going and that gives me tons of encouragement to continue. It gave me a boost that i really needed to continue. So I know that some have already seen the pic but I will post it onto here so that I have it always to take a look at.
  

I am really excited about the results so far I see a big change already and can't for even more change and seeing what I will look like in another couple of months time.

Food wise it was great I stayed within my calories and even went out and had some snacks but I counted what I could have and when I didn't have anymore calories left I stopped. I was going to exercise but I was out a little later than I thought that I would so I am doing it first thing this morning I mean its not that long to do it and I am wanting to see more results like the one I already have.

Day 72

So its hard not to buy dinner when you don't get home till after 6 in the evening so I made Mac and cheese for the kids in the afternoon and put into the fridge to heat up later. It totally worked I drove home and didn't buy anything to eat being prepared helped out a lot.  Also I did 30 min on the bike today yeah finally did something for longer than 20 min my legs were burning after but I felt proud of myself for doing it. I am determined to hit my month end goal but I am not going to be upset if I don't reach. Any weight lost is a step in the right direction and that is a good thing. Here is a thought if I lost 1 pound a week there are 52 weeks in a year so that is 52 pounds less than what I weighed before. Slow and steady wins the race I find if you want quick results you are more likely to gain it back, but if you do it slow and steady you are teaching your self how to eat healthy you are breaking a habit and creating a new one. I don't like fad diets they never sound very healthy for anyone.

Day 71 weigh in number 10

OK  so here we go this last week I lost a grand total of 1.2 pounds bringing my total up to 21 pounds in 10 weeks that is an average of 2 pounds per week. Since I decided to set 5 dollars aside for every pound so it has been a total of 20 dollars I started it 3 week ago 1.6 + 1.6 + 1.2 = 4.4 pound yeah. I don't have to buy new cloths for a while I got a closet full of smaller clothes down to a size 14 after that I will have to buy new cloths. So 3 sizes away so I am hoping to reach that by this summer. So today I baked a chocolate cake with a chocolate butter cream cake and put a home made marshmallow fondant on it. It turned out pretty good for my first time. I took a slice for the girls and took a taste it was really nice but rich. So I didn't eat dinner tonight I wasn't hungry and I did eat some left over icing not lots and I threw the rest away. The cake went into the freezer for a later date. So I lifted my girls up using my legs and moved them up and down 10 times then flipped them over I did this with my younger daughter 6 reps she is lighter and my oldest I did 2 reps and after all of this my legs were burning so it wasn't much but it was something. For lunch I made my shrimp stir fry it was great and filling.

day 70

So today was pretty good. I made a pie and had two slices but I did;t eat that much  of other things to counter act the pie.I tried the coconut whip cream but it came out a little lumpy so I will have to try it again. So i did some zumba and rode the bike for a little. I also tried a veggie calzone that my mother in law made it was great. So I am a little nervous about weighing in tomorrow i want to hit the 20 pound mark I was only.2 away from it but I would also like to hit the 210, but I am not thinking that I am going to reach that.

Day 69

Been great today been busy cleaning the house tons of laundry to do and been doing most of the day. So I don't think I will get some exercises in today because I have to but it all away. So I made some pie for tomorrow with chocolate pudding and whip cream on top and I made some marshmallow fondant testing it out to see if I could actually do I and it worked so I think it will be OK in the fridge for a couple of weeks. I been watching baking shows so I am going to make my daughters 4th birthday cake. Can't wait and I am not going to use a cake mix making going to make it from the beginning. Well anyways today I had an awesome quiche that my mother in law gave me to try it was nice and filling and a nice piece for only 220 calories. Lunch was what I usually have and I was trying to figure out what I wanted for dinner so I made a shrimp stir-fry it was great I could of gone for more if I made extra.


 
So I am going to try a few of these to see if they work. Its worth trying and they are healthy. I've been telling the kids that I am trying to have us eat healthier. We need to as a family eat healthier and great. My kids when they refuse to eat what I made them I put it into the fridge so that I dont' waste good food. They don't mind if I give them a sandwich and fruit so at least they eat something healthy.

Day 68

 Today was a tough day  it crossed my mind that I'm not doing that great I should just give up, but I think well I am almost at the 20 pound mark why blow it now. Yes some days are tougher than others and the will do to that changes day to day but I am determined not to give up. I hate the way I look and feel so I want to like the way I look and feel good about myself. It helps when I get days like this that people encourages me to continue. It means the world to me that people do care about me enough to help me with my diet. So  I would like to say thank you for your support and love. OK so I don't want to do any exercise but I am going to do 20-40 min on the bike determine how I feel.

day 67

So today was a great day. I even exercised rode my bike for 30 min and for about 5 min I was using hand weight as well. I was out this morning doing grocery shopping and I parked away from the door so I had to walk a bit to get in. I did buy some food for lunch I went to Swiss Chalet and got a quarter chicken meal with a side salad and I didn't eat the bun those are tons of calories. I am going to keep going like this and not screw it up. Its hard some days but I am going to try and find something to do with my hands when I get into those snacking moods.

OK so I did say that I wasn't going to post the next day but getting home past 10 I wanted to get to bed. It was date night last night we had some dinner and went to the movies. It was great to get out with out kids. So it wasn't the best day but I tried my best with dinner because I knew I would have some popcorn at the movies and some M&M's that my husband got. Also I wanted a hot dog so we split it. I had Edo's for dinner last night I had the sizzling shrimp ate the shrimp the veggies but hardly touched the rice so the dish all together is 500 calories but I didn't eat half of it so I said that I had 300 calories for it. I had three California rolls and a spring roll. On the drinking pop I am going strong I had a sip of some coke and didn't really like it at all so no problem with that. I still have a lot of work to do and its not getting easier at all but oh well. So yesterday I was over on my calories by nearly 600 calories mostly because of the chocolate and popcorn and hot dog other than those I was on track. Well not going to dwell on it I got the weekend and mon and tue to work hard.

Day 65

 Sorry about being late with the post got home after 6 and made dinner and did the bedtime routine with my kids so they went to bed around 7:30 and I started not feeling so great after that and went to bed around 8:30 completely forgetting to do my blog first. I try to complete it every night some nights there have been a couple where it has been the next day but for the most part its been in the evening.  Anyways yesterday wasn't a bad day at all I am realizing right now that I forgot to do any exercises but I was cleaning my house all afternoon and was tired. So today I am going to but in extra effort to do something. For breakfast I had my left over turkey loaf with the left over veggies. Lunch was my typical lunch I love it I feel full after eating it and ties my over till dinner.  For dinner I made spaghetti its fast and easy.

Breakfast:
Vermont Turkey Loaf
1/2 c mixed veggies

2 ounces chicken breast
1 yogurt

Day 64 Weigh in number 9

So here it goes this last week I lost 1.6 pounds. That is bringing my total up to 19.8 pounds in 9 weeks I think that is pretty good I really wanted to hit the 20 pound mark but I came really close so I going to pass it next week not only am I going to pass it I am going to aim to hit that 210 mark so I am 212.2 right know so just over 2 pounds next week and I am aiming to hit under 200 by the end of the month I got alot of hard work ahead of me but I set myself a goal that I want to reach really bad I haven't been under 200 since being pregnant with Jerrica.  So almost 4 years tried and failed many diets but I am determined to make it work this time. I have many things coming up this year that I want to look good for in the summer so lots of work coming up. So my exercise today was me lying on the floor and lifting my oldest with my legs into the air and bring her down than back up than she would flip over and I used my arms to hold her up and help her flip over me I did this for a good 10 min my legs were burning when I was done. They love it when I do this to them and its a great leg workout.

Day 63

Been craving cake today and good pastries it doesn't help that I have been watching The Next Great Baker. I really want to just go and bake some yummy cakes and just eat them. Haha anyways today was great I was so good that I was finding things to eat because I was 400 calories shy of my allowed amount for the day so I had a couple of rice crispy treats. They tasted great and I enjoyed it.  While I was making breakfast I cut my finger and while I was dealing with my finger burnt some of my food. So I had to rethink what I was going to eat. I turned out ok. Did 10 min of zumba today not much but it was something. Loved my lunch today and dinner I had so much food on my plate I love finding more way of having more food for less calories and I think that I am doing awsome.

Day 62

So today was an awesome day had huge meals that were really low in calories. For lunch I wanted fruit but could not decide which one I wanted so I mad a fruit salad which contained 1 c strawberries, 1 banana, 1 apple, 1c honeydew melon, 1 c watermelon, with a squirt of lemon juice. It was a whole lot of fruit. I ate it all through out the day. It was split into 4 servings and each on was 81 calories. Yum loved it, it contained my sweet tooth for the day. Low cal and low fat and sweet it was amazing. So I didn't go out today yeah I am determined not to it costs too much money and when you think about it, it can cost anywhere from 25-40 dollars depending on what you get and that is nearly almost half of what I account for, for grocery's for the week isn't that sad. So today I was not feeling to great my kids got up at 4:30 this morning. I am trying to get some excersing done but ive been chasing kids around all day and really not feeling great so I am going to be honest and say I am not doing it tonight and going to do it first thing tomorrow morning and I will do it because I am honest about what I post on my blog.

Day 61

 Ok sorry that it was a day late again. Yesturday was a good day better than friday and saturday. Because of the snow I stayed home with my family. I was going to make a grilled cheese sandwich for my kids but realized that I only had enough to make lunch for the week. I had nothing defrosted so I grabbed the kids some DQ and I made myself a salad it was a chicken salad. It was good and I added some Sweet Chili Thai sauce. Also I did buy a cheeseburger for myself and hey I still didn't go over my calories for the day. So I failed one day and went to buy food, but understanding the reason was ok well not going to do it anymore.

Day 60

Today was a total nightmare weekends are my worst. Went to the movies had some popcorn then it was to Burger King for dinner had a great afternoon with my sister in law and my kids. So as much as it was bad I had a great day having fun. So not feeling to bad. So here it is March is stop eating out month I am going to work on that and I will tell  you everyday if I did or not and I am working on the not. At burger king I had a Tender grill BLT salad but I also tried there sweet potato fries. I love them but I looked at the calories and for a medium serving 390 Calories it is bad but tried them they were good so I don't need to wonder if they are any good or not. I know I have been having a hard time this little while but I need to keep pushing and hope that it will get better. So to recap March goals, no eating out, going to hit that 200 pound mark only 13.8 more pounds to go, and to work on my exercise. So today not going to say what I ate but like I said it wasn't the best day probably one of my worst. But tomorrow is a new day and Sundays always are better than Saturday. Saturday and Friday seem to be the worst days.

Day 59

To be honest I am not feeling like doing any exercise today. I didn't really sleep last night and was out all morning doing grocery shopping so I was walking around for about 2 hrs with little driving in between. Maybe a little later I will do some zumba I can't do one day and none the next day that's not working on it that's just being lazy. Which right now I care about. I want to  work through it and work on it and improve. So for dinner I made a Stuffed Flank Steak I screwed up making it. It wasn't all the way thawed so I put it into the microwave to defrost it. Don't recommend it. After cooking it was dry and didn't taste very good because defrosting it let all the juices out. I will retry and will tell you how that one turned out. I will also give you the recipe when I try it again. So I was a little over today after dinner I got the munchies and had some toast with peanut butter and banana's on it. Feel bad about this good all week and one bad day. I am lot letting this affect the rest of my day. So because of the snack I will definitely doing some zumba its only 20 min so lot too long.
